Why an implant?

The closest thing to nature for a lost tooth

01

Spares the neighbouring teeth

Unlike a bridge, there is no need to grind down the healthy teeth next to the gap.

02

Protects the bone from atrophy

The implant transfers chewing forces to the bone, preventing the bone loss that follows tooth loss.

03

A durable, permanent solution

A firmly anchored tooth you eat and speak with as if it were your own — with no denture shifting.

Everything you want to know about implants

Does implant placement hurt?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so it is painless. After the procedure some slight swelling may appear, which subsides within a few days — most patients return to their everyday activities the next day.

How long does the whole implant treatment take?

From placing the implant to fitting the crown usually takes from 2 to 4 months — the time needed for the implant to fuse with the bone. In selected cases, immediate loading with a temporary crown is possible.

Does the implant look like a natural tooth?

Yes. We design the crown on the implant digitally, matching its shape and colour to the neighbouring teeth. The result is practically indistinguishable from your own dentition.

Can everyone have an implant placed?

An implant can be placed in most adult patients. The key factor is the quantity and quality of the bone — we assess it on a CBCT scan. If there is a bone deficiency, we perform bone regeneration procedures.

How do I care for an implant after the procedure?

An implant is cared for like your own tooth — brushing, flossing, regular check-ups and hygiene appointments. With proper care, an implant can last for many years.
